Getting a crop off to a good, healthy start is critical to its long-term performance throughout the season. PROTINUS delivers a strong start for your crop, helping it reach its full growth and yield potential.
PROTINUS seed-applied fertilizer improves seedling growth by providing plants small amounts of important nutrients right after germination – before the plant can easily access soil nutrients on its own. By improving early plant growth, growers see the benefit in crop establishment, early-season growth and the ability to withstand challenging growing conditions.
PROTINUS applied to your seed results in:
- Faster, more even emergence
- Larger, more vigorous seedlings
- Longer roots, greater root mass
- Better ability to cope with early season stress
- Greater yield potential

PROTINUS promotes early seedling growth
PROTINUS safely delivers key nutrients vital to early plant growth right on the seed. Three key micronutrients – zinc, manganese and iron – are included in the PROTINUS formulation and are immediately available to the growing seed.
A unique formulation that sets PROTINUS apart
The patented formulation and composition of PROTINUS creates a “nutrient friendly zone” around the seed – enhancing the uptake of the nutrients in the PROTINUS formulation and in the surrounding soil.
By mimicking the plants ability to adjust the pH in the rhizosphere, PROTINUS creates an environment conducive to nutrient absorption as soon as the radicle emerges and the plant begins to grow.
PROTINUS has been extensively tested
Wolf Trax has collected over 1000 comparisons with PROTINUS on a variety of crops and growing conditions. Results from these studies have shown early plant growth benefits in a broad range of species, including Corn, Soybean, Cereals, Canola, Sunflower, Peanuts, Forages, Grass, Cotton and vegetable crops.
PROTINUS is registered for use in Canada
PROTINUS meets all requirements as outlined in the Fertilizers Act and Regulations and may legally be sold as a seed-applied fertilizer in Canada.
