Average of All Crops

The above bar chart encompasses over 80 different research trials that Wolf Trax has done, either privately or through third party sources. Total root weight of PROTINUS-treated seed versus an untreated check was done at a prescribed date after initial emergence (this date varied by trial and by crop type). When averaged out, PROTINUS-treated seed had 18% higher total root weight than the untreated check. This demonstrates that PROTINUS-treated seed can increase root mass, giving a plant greater ability to cope with early stress and resist lodging later in the season.
Summary of Trial Results
PROTINUS has an extensive research and evaluation program, spanning many countries, soil conditions, climatic conditions and crops. Following is an example of the different crops and conditions that the root weight of PROTINUS-treated seed has been tested under.
- Crops: Corn, Cotton, Small Grains and Soybeans
- DAE: Ranges from 2 to 14 days
- Soil Conditions: nutrient poor and nutrient rich combinations of clay and sandy loam soils
- Climatic Conditions: normal (ideal), cold nights/warm days, cold soil, deep seeded cold soil, drought (normal watering to a certain stage and then water withdrawn until the wilt stage) and dry seeding conditions
