The ground-breaking Wolf Trax coating technology allows DDP micronutrients to adhere to the seed, giving the seedling access to important nutrients as soon as it begins to grow. The diagrams below compare availability and uptake of micronutrient applied to the seed, compared to a typical soil-applied granular micronutrient.

compared to ...
Typical Granular Micronutrient
In the case of granular micronutrients, the growing corn plant is not able to access the micronutrient until at least 30 to 35 days after seeding.
Earlier Availability.
Uptake of Wolf Trax DDP micronutrients is virtually assured due to its close proximity to the seed.
The unique Dual Action™ formulation ensures DDP micronutrients are in a form that is plant-available as soon as the seed begins to germinate, and remains plant-available. The plant does not have to “grow” to find the micronutrient in the soil (as is the case with natural micronutrient sources or granular soil-applied “chunks”), giving DDP-treated seed an estimated two to three week head start to establish a healthy, well-nourished plant.
Seed coated with Wolf Trax Zinc DDP shows significantly higher levels of plant uptake as measured by plant tissue analysis. Source: Independent replicated research trials, 2004
The above graph demonstrates how the Wolf Trax Dual Action formulation ensures immediate plant availability (shown at 7 days after emergence), as well as extended feeding for the growing plant. The Wolf Trax treatment shows significantly higher plant uptake at 28 days after emergence (about 35 to 38 days after seeding) than both untreated,
or granular soil-applied zinc.

The above photos show the early availability of Wolf Trax DDP micronutrients when applied to the seed. Photo 1 shows the early stages of the trial, where the soybeans on the left had a seed application of Wolf Trax Iron DDP while the seed on the right was untreated. The benefits of the early availability of the Wolf Trax Iron DDP coated seed were still observed later in the season (Photo 2).
Wolf Trax DDP micronutrients are safe on seed.
Research shows that DDP micronutrients have no adverse effect on germination.
