Spanning many countries, soil conditions, climatic conditions and crops, we put PROTINUS to the test. Our data shows that PROTINUS is designed to work under the toughest conditions, and work consistently, regardless of crop or geography.
About the PROTINUS research program
PROTINUS undergo's one of the most extensive testing programs on the market today. It is tested for all early plant health indicators, under numerous different conditions, both in the lab and field.
Through our PROTINUS research and evaluation program, you can be assured of the following:
PROTINUS is tested under a variety of conditions on a variety of crops. PROTINUS is tested around the world. Trialing is currently occurring in at least a dozen countries including Canada, the U.S., several countries in the European Union and South Africa. We continue to expand our research into new geographical areas.
PROTINUS is tested by third-party researchers. PROTINUS is tested by both private and public researchers. This ensures we have a broad range of information about it. Strict research protocols are followed in the development and testing of all early plant health indicators. Before PROTINUS went into field-scale testing, it underwent multi-year, multi-site, replicated trials to understand the ideal formulation. We made sure there was statistically significant benefits before we finalized the formulation into the commercially available PROTINUS.
PROTINUS is tested under field conditions. To ensure that PROTINUS will work in your customers’ fields, field-scale, side-by-side trials using farmers’ own equipment and crop management systems have been conducted. During the early plant stages, tissue samples are taken at regular intervals to confirm that PROTINUS is contributing to positive early plant health.
PROTINUS is tested under the most challenging conditions. PROTINUS is tested under a wide range of climatic conditions – some of which are extremely challenging. We test on light and heavy soils, in cold soils where crop emergence is slow, and in drought up to the point of plant wilt. We also test over a wide range of soil pH (as high as 8.2). High pH soils tend to complicate a plant’s ability to take up micronutrients. PROTINUS is proven to work under these conditions, giving your seed the best fighting chance.

Micronutrients tend to be less available to the plant in higher pH soils. Serious issues regarding micronutrient availability are more common at soil pH above 7.0.
PROTINUS demonstrates a successful track record. Wolf Trax has one of the most successful records for new product registrations due in large part to the cleanliness of our products, as well as the strict protocol of our R&D team.
PROTINUS is safe on seed. Before testing the early plant health performance of PROTINUS through our R&D program, we made sure the physical product itself is safe on the seed under a variety of conditions - including extended storage. Time and again PROTINUS proved itself to be completely safe on all seed tested for extended periods of time, allowing us to safe the PROTINUS is safe to apply on your seed.
The Wolf Trax approach to research
Because a healthy start can make a world of difference™, we take seriously our job of offering early plant health and nutrition. We make sure PROTINUS is safe on the seed, and will consistently offer a strong start for your crop, even under sub-optimal conditions. With every trial we run, we measure early plant health indicators at regular intervals to confirm that the early needs of the crop are being met. PROTINUS-treated crop have a strong start, helping them reach their full growth and yield potential.
